Biographie de Pete Rock & CL Smooth
Pete Rock & CL Smooth était un groupe de rap américain new yorkais formé en 1991. Il était composé du producteur Pete Rock (Peter Phillips) et du rappeur CL Smooth (Corey Penn). Ils sortirent leur premier album en 1991, l'EP All Souled Out, suivi par Mecca and the Soul Brother en 1992 qui est considéré par beaucoup comme leur meilleur album. En 1994 sort The Main Ingredient qui sera leur dernier album à ce jour. En effet le groupe se sépare l'année suivante. Depuis Pete Rock a sorti 5 albums (dont certains contiennent des apparitions de CL Smooth), tous plébiscité par la critique et CL Smooth a sorti son album solo American Me (contenant une production de Pete Rock) en 2006.
